Another year is almost over.

Makes you wonder what you have achieved in 2008, eh?

Well, as we welcome year 2009 in 2 weeks time, let us briefly look back at all the ups and downs of year 2008.Some are old news while others are not so old.

Petrol price that went up then down yet still maintained the hike in food prices, politics, oh, politics, health scare...Chikungnya?, natural disasters...floods and landslides, missing or abandoned children, citizens who are duped and jailed in foreign lands, Mawi and Ekin (what's up with having a pre-wedding press conference?), world economy dilemmas, Bush and Obama and many more...

So, what lies ahead? New job, new house, new baby or new...err..wife perhaps? A prosperous future or a just a low key lifestyle?
Whatever you plan to do or achieve in year 2009, I pray that everything goes well.

A change of career may be the right choice for some while others are just glad that they still have their current jobs.

Well, speaking of careers...let me just remind you that in English, 'career' is pronounced as 'kuh-reer'or similar to how you call that malay kuih made of sweet potato that is 'kuih keria'. Don't pronounce it as 'keh-riyer' (care-riyer) which is similar to the English word 'carrier' meaning 'pembawa' in Bahasa Malaysia.

So, perhaps next time you use English, you could impress others by sounding slightly more 'English'...it may help, you know...
